Women passengers to be banned from straddling motorcycles under new law in Indonesia

A friend just sent this to me and I had to share. Apparently, a woman sidesaddling and not holding on to the driver will make her curves less visible, and so it really is safer for all concerned parties. Aceh introduced a version of Shariah, or Islamic law, in 2009, after it gained autonomy from the government in a 2005 peace deal to end a long-running separatist war there.
